I would like to say that on my very first day I had frenchie as my instructor. He talked, made you feel comfortable, he’s funny, definitely informational! I wanted to try out the manual but as soon as I knew I couldn’t he worked with me and put me into a truck I’m comfortable with (automatic).

Midwest Truck Driving School is a great school with some really good instructors who are very knowledgeable and care about you succeeding in life and your career. All the information you need is giving to you from day one and throughout the course. Josh is a very good school director and goes out of his way for all the students to make sure you don't fail and if you have any issues he definitely will fix it or help you understand it. Dave is my instructor he's very knowledgeable and he does a really good job going over everything and making sure you understand, and as long as you listen to him you will be successful. Don't let me forget Kat, Courtney and Ian who keep everything running smoothly in the office and are some awesome individuals who go out their way to help the students. I would definitely recommend Midwest Truck Driving School if you are interested in obtain your CDL. Best Decision Ive made!

This school is very fast paced but it helped me learn very quickly. You learn hands on skills right away and everything you learn is used in real world situations. I would highly recommend this school to anyone interested.

The atmosphere here is amazing. Very laid back, but structured in a way that gives you a good idea of how the trucking industry works. You’re required to be driven to ask questions and not wing it, because the knowledge here is abundant and you’ll only be shorting yourself if you coast through.

My Class B instructor was Frenchy. He’s got a great personality and approaches learning about the trucks directly hands on, lets you make your mistake and then explains how to improve on it. If I suggest any instructor, it would be Frenchy.

They pack in a lot of good knowledge within 4 short weeks. All the instructors, but especially Bill, are knowledgable and want you to pass your State exam. Over all a good experience and looking forward to putting on miles soon.

Midwest Truck Driving School is a great place to get your class A CDL. From day one I could tell what a Great Organization that MTDS is. Josh did most of our class room work and he made it fun and easy to learn. Bill was my in cab instructor and he made learning to drive a semi incredibly easy. He has a very unique teaching style! He has a long list of quotable quotes but the one that hit home for me was on my last day when I had a little trouble driving and he said “Look in your rear view mirror, that’s behind you. See how big that’s windshield is that’s what’s in front of you!” I highly recommend Midwest Truck Driving School!!!

Midwest Truck Driving School was a great experience from day one. The instructors are awesome—knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in making sure you’re prepared to pass your CDL and succeed out on the road. They don’t just teach you how to pass the test, they teach you how to be a safe, confident driver.

The atmosphere is fun and laid-back (without ever losing focus), which makes learning a lot easier. There’s plenty of laughter mixed in with serious training, and that balance really helps the long days fly by. The instructors truly want you to succeed—and it shows. If you’re looking for a school that prepares you well and makes the process enjoyable, Midwest Truck Driving School is the place to go. Bill was a great instructor!

Midwest Truck Driving School is a great school to attend. I feel the 4 week class A CDL course covers everything you need to know in the time of the class. They do a great job taking the time to make sure everyone is understanding what they are teaching. I had Bill as an instructor and he did a good job teaching us the maneuvers, pre trip inspections and driving/shifting. He had a great attitude everyday, our crew laughed all day everyday. A quote from Bill “I could’ve licked the sticker off his license plate you were so close to him.” He let us know when we were doing something wrong but always found a way to make us laugh while doing so. I highly recommend Midwest Truck Driving School.

I recommend midwest trucking school for anybody trying to get their CDL. They do a really good job they teach you everything you need to know about truck driving. It’s a Really great school.

When I arrived the instructors informed the class that we are here for success and so far that’s all we have strive for and nothing less. Tim my instructor has our group the first ones out and the last ones in. Midwest truck driving has a family feel and makes you feel comfortable. Highly recommend

Day 1, as soon as I walked in I knew I was in the right place. Professional layout, well prepared materials. I currently hold a CDL-A but I felt that my original school was lacking in several aspects. So I opted to come here for an extended refresher course (4 weeks). I am a combat veteran, and Midwest made it seamless to use my VA education benefit to cover tuition AND lodging. I live 730 miles from the school, so all I had to do was get here with an open mind and they have taken care of the rest. I am extremely grateful for my experience here and the kindness and support that everyone here at Midwest offers. I would recommend ANYONE to attend if they can. My only regret is that I didn't come here first!!! From the detailed classroom instruction to the adverse weather training, I feel like I am set up for success, and look forward to starting my career on the right foot!

My instructor Paul Perryman was super instructive and patient. He goes into great detail on pretrips and does an awesome job breaking down the rules behind driving a commercial vehicle. 10/10 would learn from again

I decided to use Midwest Truck Driving School to get my class A CDL. I already have a class B CDL and needed to up grade to a class A CDL. They offer a 1 week class 40 hr class to do this. I am here now for the 1 week very impressed on how they do there training very friendly trainers, they take the time to make sure you are properly trained to get your CDL. The instructors take there time helping you where you are needing help the most and very professional. I big shout to my instructor Tim Stein he takes your training personal and lets you do your tasks for training purposes and then throughly explains what you did wrong to a tee. Also he gives everyone the check off sheet for the walk around and have them check off what you did threw the walk around and lets others do the walk around while you checking off what they did. Then everyone explains what was missed. I would recommend Midwest Truck Driving School for everyone wanting to get there CDL. They also offer an Electrical Line School and a Heavy Equipment School.

A school that sets you up not only to pass but to succeed in your future of driving CMV. Dave is an awesome/wise instructor with lots of extra tips for driving CMV. Bill was my main instructor for in the classroom best teacher I’ve had for learning anything. Along with all the other instructors at Midwest they are all awesome and know exactly what they are doing and how to set you up for success.

I recently added the hazmat and tanker endorsement to my CDL. The classes at the Midwest Truck Driving School were very informative, they included a great deal of pertinent information needed to pass the exams, as well as other resources to help you prepare for your state exams.

From before and during the classes admin and instructors were very professional. My instructor was bob. Bob is very knowledgeable and straight foward (more than the others I’ve met imo). As he puts it “if you’re not soft skinned” and can put up with him “busting your balls” you’ll be fine and you’ll really like him. The ammount of times I was called out by him on my mess ups were a lot. But when he says “you impressed me”, “you’re doing good”, and “you make me proud” it should and will mean a lot. Overall I started worrying before coming to class but once I got here my classmates and of course instructors were there to help and be there for me! To bob, thank you for always giving me a good laugh, helping me through my issues, and being a good mentor! I do recommend!

I really enjoyed working with the staff at Midwest. Frenchy, Kevin and Bob made the class a really great experience and would absolutely recommend this class to anyone. They made learning the material fun and easy to do and gave a lot of good pointers for getting ready for the actual test.

I loved it here the school was welcoming and I learned so much my head prolly gonna explode! I loved Dave my instructor he was my favorite and really showed me what to do and didn’t mess around!
