Midwest Truck Driving School was started in 1998 and has since graduated over 20,000 students with their Class A CDL's, Class B CDL's, Passenger and School Bus, Tanker, Hazmat and Doubles and Triples Endorsements. But here's what I know: If you don't know a problem exists, you can't solve it.
So I ask. I check in. I pay attention when something feels off.
Because problems don't solve themselves. And if a student is struggling—whether it's housing, transportation, family issues, or just feeling overwhelmed—that hidden problem can derail everything they're working toward.
I've seen it happen. Someone stops showing up. They quit. And later you find out there was something we could have helped with—if only we'd known.
That's why I ask the uncomfortable questions. Why I dig a little deeper.
At the end of the day, I want ALL of them to be successful. Not just get through the program—but actually build the career they came here for.
And you can't do that from a distance.
Real support isn't just teaching someone to shift gears. It's noticing when they're struggling and giving a damn enough to help.
