I would highly recommend Midwest Truck Driving School to anyone looking to get their CDL. This school is very well set up and you get to learn so much about different aspects of trucking. The hands on experience at this school is incredible. All of the instructors are really good, knowledgeable, and you can tell they love what they do! They're all very helpful and care about your success throughout the course. My experience at this school was extremely fun and exceeded my expectations!

The school was thorough with their introduction and teaching of the material needed to get a Class A CDL. The instructors showed trust in the students giving them the opportunity to learn from their mistakes and succeed in the course. Best in the Midwest! Our instructor Frenchy did a phenomenal job and was helpful through every part of our course. The whole school is also military friendly and they accept the G.I. Bill for tuition costs. I drove almost 5 hours to be here and it was well worth the trip.

Hands down one of the best CDL Schools in North America, especially when you elect to attend in January. In this 4 week course, I have been fortunate to drive in sunny, clear weather and also a blizzard, on clean dry roads, wet roads, snow covered roads, ice covered roads and slushy roads, best believe it when they tell you that you need 4 times the stopping distance in a tractor 3trailer combo on icy, snow covered roads! Witnessed several jackkifes and semi spin outs during my commutes and practice drives, ( none by the students or instructors)! If you are a self starter and go getter then ask for Kevin as an instructor, if you want a kind, calm yet stern instructor ask for Dave, if you want the warm, friendly nurturing mountain man type ask for Bob, and if you want a jovial, one of the guys type ask for Bill! Their is also Frenchy, but I have yet to meet him, but I bet he is French, but then again, how many big men have you known with the misnomer of "Tiny"! Oh, one additional item, if you like Tucker Carlson (Fox News) his voice doppelganger is here and goes by the name of Josh Barron!

Wanted to add the Hazmat endorsement to my license and needed the ELDT Hazmat course. The school I took for my CDL didn't offer it and referred me here, money well spent. I signed up on the 26th and passed the exam on the 29th. I'll definitely be back if I want to add other endorsements in the future. Thanks, for the educational online course.

I was seeking a different career opportunity after retiring from my previous career of many years. I decided that driving a school bus as a substitute would be an opportunity to still work with children, but in a different capacity. Frenchy was my instructor and he was a boat load of knowledge, that he graciously shared. Along, with the patience to guide me through with gentle correction. He encouraged me the entire way. Experience was very good. Instructors have a great way of teaching adults/young adults everything to know about driving a class a or b vehicle. I highly recommend Dave as an instructor due to his skill of explaining everything into a simple way for people to remember it and having a great history with trucking . The crew in the office are very helpful with anything you need help with on testing, paperwork, and scheduling. Midwest is a 10/10 school for truck driving. All very kind people. Highly recommend coming here. Frenchie is also another great instructor that I recommend. He makes the time go by fast while learning everything needed due to his great sense of humor. Totally recommended!!! Serious people running the business like professionals. I needed to find a place to do the ELDT Hazardous Materials Training. Amazing training, finished around 2am. I’m 55 and going back to school for anything was a nightmare.How ever from entering the front doors the office/ Kat…made things I didn’t know how to do much easier then I thought.All of the Instructors had answers to every question I had. I’ve always been a hands on person so taking tests on paper was a huge down fall for me. When I started TDI I was pretty nervous. But our instructor did an awesome job teaching us. By the time we were done with all the driving and learning we were very able and capable of passing our driving exam! Lisa and Brian and Mark our instructors are very cool! I have to admit I was a little nervous about driving on my final exam! But Brian is very skilled and immediately put me at ease. He is very good and very clear on what you are to do and how to do it. And he is very patient! I am glad that I had the experience that I had at TDI. Since my graduation I have a class A CDL, I have also taken the tankers test the doubles and triples test the Hazmat test and I passed them all and have those endorsements. I have also apply for and I'm waiting on to get it back my TWIC card. After much job searching and deciding on what I wanted to do and which way to go. Because there were many options and many companys wanted me to come to work with them. I chose Swift Transportation. I am going to orientation on Monday for my 2-day orientation. And then I will be placed with my mentor for the next month. I'm very excited about the future! And all this began at TDI! Thanks again guys for everything thank you Lisa and Brian and Mark!

I was looking for online training for HazMat, and found Midwest Truck Driving School, I liked what I saw, so I looked them up on the FMCSA registered OLDT providers list, and sure enough they were there. I purchased the Hazmat training, watched the video, and took and passed the test. Unfortunately when I went to my local DMV here in Washington State, they said they don't accept online Hazmat training. And that I had to take a 16 hour class for HazMat. The 16 hour classes provided here in Washington are $300 to $450. So I called MTDS to ask for a refund. At that time Ian (I believe) informed me that his boss had already called me, and issued me a refund earlier that day. So I checked my voicemail and sure enough he had called. I checked my PayPal, and sure enough there was my money refunded! Ian had informed me that Washington is the only state out of all 49 states that doesn't accept online Hazmat training. Washington is stupid!I thought the training from MTDS was very good, and I do recomend them to anyone who's state WILL accept the online training!I wondered, when researching MTDS, how they achieved 317-5 star Google reviews.Now i know how. Good training material, and great customer service!Thanks guys!I appreciate you.

My instructor, Dave, was very thorough and knowledgeable in preparing me for the state CDL test. I learned air brakes, passenger and school bus endorsements. I had plenty of road time and in-yard maneuver practice, as well as school bus inspection practice. He took me from never having driven a school bus to being comfortable and safe behind the wheel in a week's time. Great school. Worth every penny! Thanks, Dave!

Midwest truck driving school is the way to success if you're looking into getting a class A license. The staff and instructors are experienced and knowledgeable. Easy to talk to and approachable. Really makes you feel at ease. You get to learn how to drive 10 speed manual transmission which I like. If you're from out of town, no worries the school can setup your stay at the Quality Inn while you're in school. It's very close to school as well. I'm glad that I picked this school to start my trucking journey. Thank you!

Midwest Trucking Driving School is terrific. While teaching us very serious and important stuff, the instructors and staff are enthusiastic, responsive, helpful, and joshing each other funny. They are very vet respectful and friendly. And being at this school you are more part of a happy family than just a student, and they welcome you staying in touch for career updates, help, and advice. Escanaba is a nice town. Check out the lakefront park and beach. Five stars for sure!

Great school for those looking to get their CDL. The instructors are all super nice and make the class efficient as well as fun. If you are interested in getting your CDL in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, this is definitely the place you should go. When going to Midwest I didn’t know what to expect besides I’d be leaving with my cdl but as soon as the first week was over I already had higher expectations then just leaving with a class A cdl. They go above and beyond to make sure to help you in a professional manner and put emphasis on not having restrictions on your license and this is why they train us off the back in 10 speeds. When your there you feel at home, and if you need extra help in any way they push you to come ask. I had some experience that put me a little ahead of the curve for the first week but it was a great refresher. They hand picked very knowledgeable instructors that want to see the success of the students. They ready you for your final state test to the T. Great place to go get your CDL. It honestly didn't feel like a school at all, we all had so much fun and learned everything you need to know to hit the road. Pretty great school.

I had a great group of co-drivers, even Chase, and we all worked hard to get the most out of the time with our very knowledgeable instructors.

I finished class with a Class A license, doubles, tanker and hazmat endorsements.

I got a good job immediately after applying and test driving with an excavating company down here under the bridge.

Midwest Truck driving school is the best school in the country as far as I'm concerned. I don't have another school to compare it to but I wouldn't even try. I don't think any other school can do what Midwest and the awesome instructors and staff have done for me. Every person there exudes pride and professionalism all day every day. The fundamentals they teach will more than prepare you for your tests. I gained so much confidence in a short time with them. Of course I was nervous when it came time for my DOT test, even more so since I was the first to test in my class, but I remembered and leaned on what was instilled in me and I NAILED IT! Stepping up from a midsize SUV to a tractor/ trailer is about as intimidating as it gets, but Midwest Truck Driving School prepares you for it in every way. The have a massive emphasis on safety, and give you all the tools you need to succeed. The instruction is top notch but in a fun atmosphere. I had an amazing time and left with an incredible boost to my confidence. Having a CDL opens so many employment doors, and companies will be fighting over you. This is the place to get it! I went through the program back in 2018 and it was a great learning experience. It was a very fun, friendly, learning atmosphere. Having my CDL has made me a vital asset to my employer also! 10 out of 10!

this is a awesome school, they are there for you. they teach you What you need to know all the instructors have high energy and are knowledgeable and treat all students with respect.
