The salary of hazardous materials (hazmat) drivers can vary significantly depending on various factors such as location, experience, employer, and the specific responsibilities involved in the job. Generally, hazmat drivers may earn more than non-hazmat drivers due to the additional training, certifications, and risks associated with transporting hazardous materials.
On average, hazmat drivers in the United States can earn between $50,000 to $80,000 per year, but this can vary. Drivers with extensive experience, specialized training, and endorsements may command higher salaries. Additionally, the demand for hazmat drivers in certain regions or industries can also impact their earning potential.
It’s important to research salary data specific to your location and circumstances to get a more accurate estimate of how much hazmat drivers make in your area.
